In Vaikuntha not even the Leaves Fall
The treatise “In Vaikuntha not even the Leaves Fall” is a systematic and thorough analysis of the bondage of the soul or jīva according to Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava theology. It was written in 1994 to settle a philosophical controversy that arose within ISKCON (International Society of Kṛṣṇa Consciousness) over the origin of the jīva in its conditioned existence. The book was banned by ISKCON and has since become an “underground” classic. Only very few hard copies are left. The book is now also available as Kindle E-book: https://www.amazon.com/dp/

If the nature of soul is bliss, then why would we be looking for bliss? If bliss is inside you, then no one can take it out. You can cover it from the outside, but it is still inside of you. It can be covered, but you cannot make it unavailable to itself. Soul does not know what happiness is. If it did, it would not do what it is doing now…Jiva does not have ananda in it. You get ananda – you get the seed that comes from the outside. The soul never knew God, otherwise, why would it come here?
